How did Day 1 go?

Morning: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great

I mentioned yesterday that I’m having to break habits I have had for years! Well, the morning fast is going to take some getting used to! My stomach grumbled and growled all morning. I usually have some water in the morning and then a Shakeology shake for breakfast. With the experiment, I’m just having water so meal #1 at noon cannot come any faster.

Afternoon: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great

Finally time to eat! So, I made my usual “breakfast” shake. Distilled water, peanut butter, Chocolate Shakeology and lots of ice! It tasted SOOOO good. That shake definitely hit the spot and I felt good afterwards.

Evening: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great

Dinner was even better! One of the reasons why it was so good was because I didn’t have to make it. My wife created a long list of good foods to choose from. I went for tilapia, brown rice and steamed veggies. It definitely hit the spot since it was a little later than it should have been. In a few hours it will be time to BEAST UP!

Workout: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great

WOW! That was a tiring workout! I felt pretty good during the Body Beast Build: Chest/Tris workout, but I was running out of steam for the INSANITY FAST AND FURIOUS workout. In fact, I LOOKED forward to the 10 minutes on the Precor Elliptical just so I could stop the intervals!

Overall, I burned 483 calories in about 1.25 hours with an average heart rate of 133 which is 72% of my max heart rate. I AM TIRED! These workouts on a calorie deficit are going to take some getting used to!

Post-Workout: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great

An hour later I was feeling GREAT! And it was time to eat. I made the P90X Results & Recovery drink and then chased it down with a HUUUGE double scoop Chocolate Shakeology shake with peanut butter and a banana. Um, um, good!

Now it’s time for bed!
