Well, I have embarked on the 21-day journey, the adventure that is called Ultimate Reset! This is the first time I have ever attempted a detox, so I was a little nervous and a little excited at the same time. How did the first day go?
Ultimate Reset – THE JOURNEY – Day 1
Waking up this morning was like any other morning. I was still tired and I didn’t want to get up, but there is stuff to do, so, I get up. Rolling out of bed and then jumping into the shower as usual, a perfunctory action. But, this is where my schedule for my Ultimate Reset JOURNEY changes things! Instead of making our favorite Shakeology shakes and eating (drinking) them as a family. The kids enjoy their peanut butter Chocolate Shakeology shakes and I head to the fridge to pour a LARGE glass of distilled water.
The youngest says, “What are you doing?” The older two kids don’t seem to be interested in what I’m doing, they are just sucking down their Chocolate Shakeology shakes. They have no idea what the Ultimate Reset is.
My wife answers her and says, “Daddy is starting his special diet today.”
Of course, it is something new, so the 4 year old wants in! She says, “I want some cold water too!” (Sorry, kids aren’t supposed to do a reset with the Ultimate Reset!)
I pour my large glass of distilled water and then drink a little. It is nice and cold and it doesn’t taste like anything. No taste at all. I’m used to tasting something because I usually drink bottled water. It has been a LONG time since I have had distilled water. I add a pinch of Mineralize, which is one of six supplements that comes with the Ultimate Reset. Mineralize is Himalayan salt which has up to 84 minerals and trace elements in it.
The youngest is watching me with eagle eyes and says excitedly, “It looks pink!” I acknowledge her excitement and say, “That’s because it IS pink.” She really wants some now!
I drink a little more, still doesn’t taste like much. I grab two Optimize capsules, pop them in my mouth and follow them with some more distilled water. Optimize promotes healthy metabolism and effective body functions.
One more supplement, Oxygenize. Liquid oxygen, squeeze 13 drops into my gullet. An interesting, slightly bitter taste. I wonder what other liquid elements would taste like. Although, I’m glad there aren’t any more in Ultimate Reset!
I guzzle down the remaining 20+ ounces of distilled water, there’s a little amount of Mineralize in the bottom, so I twirl what’s left of the distilled water in the bottom of the glass and it dissolves. Slamming down the last little bit was a little salty. Now it’s time to wait. I have to wait 30 minutes before eating breakfast. Although, after drinking that much water, I’m not exactly craving breakfast.
30 minutes pass by and it’s time for breakfast. I get out the eggs and kale. I warm the pan for the eggs and I start to boil water in a sauce pan so that I can steam the kale. I’m not a fan of big, green leafy things. In fact, I don’t think I have ever eaten kale, at least this much of it. I de-stem two large leaves and rip the leaves apart into smaller pieces. When the water is boiling, I throw the leaves onto the vegetable steamer gadget and cover. Need to let it steam for three minutes. Meanwhile, I put a little olive oil on the pan, crack a couple of eggs and cook them up. I add just a little organic cracked pepper.
Eggs are done so I throw them on the plate. The timer goes off for the kale and so I use tongs to put the green vegetable on my plate. Whoops, forgot the toast. I go into the freezer and get two pieces of Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain bread and throw them into the toaster. I need to keep an eye on the bread, if you over cook it, it turns into a brick! A couple of minutes later, the bread is lightly toasted and breakfast is complete.
I tackle the kale first, well, because I don’t want to eat it. But it isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually was expecting much worse. Rotating around the plate, kale, eggs, toast, kale, eggs, toast. With all the kale gone, one piece of toast and the majority of the eggs eaten, I am already getting full.
Whew, breakfast is all eaten and I’m very full. The plan mentions that guys can add one banana or a cup of mixed fruit. Well, I don’t have room for any of that, so, just need to watch the clock for the next step. In two hours it will be time for more supplements. I like how the Ultimate Reset keeps you on schedule and tells you EXACTLY what to do!
I want to RESET my body with the Ultimate Reset!
Two hours later and I’m still full, but time for the Mineralize in the distilled water, the two Optimize capsules and the Oxygenize drops. I’m not exactly looking forward to the microgreen salad for lunch! So, I put together the microgreen salad and the creamy garlic dressing. I must say, it was VERY tough for me to get this down. I don’t mind eating healthy, but the vinegar based dressing is NOT my thing. I offered some to the kids and they wouldn’t touch it, Ultimate Reset or not!
Afternoon now and it is time for Alkalinize which helps maintain alkalinity and I mix it with four ounces of distilled water. My oldest says, “Are you going to drink that?”
I said, “Yep.”
And then he says, “Why?!”
It is green and tastes like grass, so I drank it quickly. I’m glad it wasn’t more than four ounces! I have the option of having a snack with the Ultimate Reset, but considering I still feel full and it is time for more water. I’ll pass on the the snack and drink my distilled water.
By the time it was dinner time, I was ready to eat! Had my distilled water with Mineralize, Oxygenize and the last two Optimize for the day. 30 minutes later and it was time for baked salmon, steamed asparagus and I did half a sweet potato! It was delicious! This is another great Ultimate Reset meal. Good, healthy food.
So far, so good! A great day. Here we come Day 2!
