I changed things up today and kept saying, “Don’t stop. Push harder. Keep going.” This is what I did…
Morning: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great
We are leaving for our trip today. So, I decided to get my workout done in the morning instead of the evening. Nobody wants to workout at a friends house after driving for hours on end!
I actually like working out in the evening, but there ARE definite benefits to working out in the morning. A couple of the benefits are 1) you’ve started the day off with an accomplishment and 2) since you’ve completed the workout you can focus on nutrition.
Workout: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great
This morning’s workout was BODY BEAST Build: Back/Bis. I thought I was going to drag since I was doing the workout on a fast, but it wasn’t too bad. I did have to pause the DVD to take care of a couple of thing during the workout. Afterwards, I jumped on the Precor Elliptical and burned a total of 608 calories.
Post-Workout/Afternoon: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great
On schedule for the afternoon meal, I made a double scoop of peanut butter Chocolate Shakeology. Instead of the P90X Results & Recovery formula, I opted for two small bananas in the shake. That shake was DELICIOUS.
I finished up packing and now it was time to go on our trip.
Evening: Lose Fat, Gain Muscle and Feel Great
Hours and hours of driving is not fun. I forgot to pack a decent snack before we left and there were definitely limited options during the drive, especially, since we are in the mountains.
We stopped at Burger King because it was the ONLY thing around. I know, HORRIBLE! What to get? Staring back and forth at the limited menu, I came up with the Grilled Chicken, Apple, Cranberry Wrap without dressing. What I actually ended up eating was about the 2oz. of grilled chicken and a little bit of the wheat wrap itself. Considering the options, I thought it was pretty good.
When we finally reached our destination we were surprised with PIZZA. It was time to eat again (it was a LOOOONG drive) and it smelled SO GOOD!
Well, the pizza turned out to be my first cheat meal since the experiment. (Remember, we need cheat meals!)
I did over my caloric intake for the day, so I’ll see if I can balance it out tomorrow.
