It’s the first strong>DOUBLE DAY FRIDAY in the BETA CYCLE.
Today was UPPER FOCUS and then CORE CARDIO.
I like both of these workouts and it was a fun 50 minutes.
FOCUS T25 – BETA CYCLE – DOUBLE DAY FRIDAY: RESULTS
I burned about 300 calories with UPPER FOCUS and it’s cooldown.
Then I refocused and burned another 350 calories with CORE CARDIO.

I actually wouldn’t mind doing this combo each day if I had the time.

And of course, after all that work it’s time for my post-workout shake!
The shake consists of:
– 1.5 cups water
– 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
– 1 scoop of BCAAs
– 1 scoop of creatine
– 1 banana
– 2 tbsp of natural peanut butter
– 2 cups of ice

I must say that there were some weird moves in the DYNAMIC CORE workout.
The workout starts off with some cardio but then transitions into a abs/core workout.
There was definitely some burning in the abs, especially, near the end of the workout.

Since we were focused on the core, there wasn’t too much of a calorie burn.
In fact, if the workout wouldn’t have started off with some cardio, I don’t think I would have burned 200 calories.

“You better be ready to step it up. It’s worth it.”
Again, I was expecting a super hard workout in the BETA CYCLE.
But the RIP’T CIRCUIT workout wasn’t too bad.
It is the first time that we incorporate resistance (either with resistance bands or dumbbells) into the workouts.
Even with the weights, I think Total Body Circuit is more difficult.

You can see by the heart rate chart below that this is more like a circuit workout.
My heart rate was constantly changing during the workout, totally different than the Speed 2.0 workout yesterday.

Next time I do the RIP’T CIRCUIT workout, I’ll definitely be using heavier dumbbells.

I thought BETA was supposed to be harder than ALPHA?
I really had fun with today’s SPEED 2.0 workout!
I like that it is action packed and you just keep going from move to move.

We definitely picked up the pace with SPEED 2.0 but it was a blast.
I was thinking it was going to be much more difficult than it was.
The only move I struggled with was the Single Leg Speed Knee.
My supporting leg just got really tired during that move.

As you can see, once my heart got up there, it pretty much stayed up there!

“I survived ALPHA, now it’s time for BETA!”
Today, Day 36, starts Week 6 of FOCUS T25 and the BETA CYCLE.
I built a foundation with ALPHA CYCLE and now it’s time to turn it up a notch.
The first BETA CYCLE workout is CORE CARDIO.

CORE CARDIO is a progressive cardio workout that focuses on the core (I bet you guessed that from the name, huh?)
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
I thought the first BETA CYCLE workout would kill me, but it didn’t.
In fact, it wasn’t too bad at all.
There were some familiar moves and some new moves.
