FOCUS T25 – ALPHA CYCLE – Day 3 – TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT

“Today is about progress, not perfection.”

Good thing, because my form suffered and I had to take quite a few quick breaks.

On the schedule for today was TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT, which is cardio-based strength workout.

Shaun T has us moving from muscle group to muscle group and it is a workout that makes you sweat!

Again, my heart rate was pretty high throughout the workout.

It is clear from the chart below that there is a circuit affect in the workout, with the heart rate coming down a little and then back up.

And because my breathing wasn’t syncing with the contractions of the moves, I had to take quite a few quick breaks to catch my breath.

It is very important to keep your breathing under control and in sync with the moves.

Some of the moves are familiar, but we get into different lunges and plank moves in this workout.

Right when you are about to give out with one muscle group, Shaun T moves on to another one.

Post-workout I had a delicious shake consisting of:
– 1.5 cups water
– 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
– 1 banana
– 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
– lots of ice
