Ultimate Reset – THE JOURNEY – Day 12

Ultimate ResetUltimate Reset Day 12, Friday, thank goodness! Past the halfway point and headed to the weekend. So far the journey hasn’t been very bumpy. I haven’t experience headaches, bathroom “issues” or skins rashes. All of those things are symptoms of your body releasing toxins. Maybe I didn’t have as many toxins in my body as I thought? Either way, I am still going strong with the Ultimate Reset. Let’s see what happened on Day 12!

Ultimate Reset – THE JOURNEY – Day 12

I didn’t sleep as well as the past couple of nights. I rolled out of bed and my morning ritual takes me to the kitchen. I mix up a small glass of Detox which tastes much better to me now (better than Alkalinize). Afterwards, I make the large glass of distilled water with with Mineralize, Oxygenize and Optimize. With all that 37 degree water I got a little chill, so I put on a jacket while I waited for the Ultimate Reset breakfast.

Ultimate ResetOn the menu for this morning was fruit. Of course that means that I’m having Tropical Strawberry Shakeology! Went to grab the strawberries out of the fridge and AAAAHHHHHHHH, NO STRAWBERRIES! Hmmmmmm, I’ve got to add something to the shake. We have plenty of fruit at the house, but it is mostly high-glycemic and NOT Ultimate Reset friendly. I see the blueberries, but I actually don’t like blueberries in my Shakeology. Look on the counter and it hits me! CANTALOUPE! I haven’t had cantaloupe in my Shakeology before. But I figured watermelon was delicious, so let’s give it try. Plus it is Ultimate Reset friendly! Cut it up, added to the Shake, added some ice, blended it up and……..YUMMY! Another great Tropical Strawberry Shakeology shake!

A couple of hours later and it was time for the Ultimate Reset supplements again. On the Ultimate Reset lunch menu was the miso soup. But, I didn’t have any of that. So I raided the fridge again to figure out what I was going to have. I decided on an eclectic meal of leftovers. I grabbed the lentils and the quinoa, mixed them together and warmed it up. Then I had some carrots, as well as, the last bit of the zucchini-walnut soup. Worked out pretty well and cleaned out the fridge a little.

When snack time arrived, it was time for Alkalinize. I just had the supplement and again skipped the optional Ultimate Reset snack. I keep hearing that Alkalinize starts to taste better, but if you ask me, I think it is starting to taste WORSE! I’m not sure what it is but it definitely is NOT MY FAVORITE! I do want to try it in a Shakeology shake though to see if it changes the taste. That’s what Carl Daikeler does and if it’s good enough for the CEO, it’s good enough for me! Ultimate Reset or not.

Dinner time came up on me fast because I was keeping myself busy. So when it was time for the Ultimate Reset dinner I was unprepared. FORTUNATELY, I had everything I needed to make the meal, I just had to wait awhile to let it cook. On the menu was the Mediterranean Roast Beets, Coconut Collard Greens, and optional quinoa. To be frank, I WAS NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MEAL AND REALLY WANTED TO EAT SOMETHING ELSE! But, I followed the recipe instructions on the Ultimate Reset website and cooked everything up. To my surprise, it wasn’t half bad. In fact, everything went together VERY WELL. The little lemon added flavor to the beets and the coconut and onion covered the taste of the collard green. I WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE THIS MEAL ON MY OWN, BUT I AM GLAD I’VE MADE IT NOW!

Looking back at the day, it went by quickly. Tomorrow we have some family activities so I will need to pack some meals and make sure I can temper any temptations. I do NOT want to fall off track with the Ultimate Reset! Before I go to bed, I’ll mix another packet of Detox so catch up on the one I missed on Day 8 and then I’ll be all caught up! Here comes Day 13 and the weekend!
